Throbbing Shoulder Pain At Night

29th March 2010 (book)

Alexandre Dumas La Dame aux Camelias

what this book is about the love affair of a man to a "courtesan", ie a woman who can pay for their love affairs. The whole is embedded in a frame story, the Narrator learns that Marguerite is dead and their legacy will be auctioned. He goes to auction and get possession of a book that Armande, the man who has loved truly and sincerely, has given her. He returns from a trip and wants it to have the book wiedr. He tells the love story of the two.
Marguerite wanted to give up their lifestyle for Armand, but his father led them to do the opposite to him and to leave the glory and honor because of his sister. Both then broke the world together. He wanted to make them jealous-end but the two ended up back in bed, but she escaped out of Paris, and then he then made a long journey. When she returned, she became ill and died. Through the diary that she kept during her illness, the real reason for their separation from Armande came to light. The two loved each other.

The author emphasizes several times that this woman is an exception to all the ladies of this nature and that it is not prostitution, etc., in this kind of support. I can imagine that this works in the 19th century was quite a scandal.
